Adobe Appoints Anil Chakravarthy as New CEO, Shantanu Narayen to Become Executive Chair
On September 2, 2026, Adobe Inc. announced that Anil Chakravarthy, currently President of Customer Experience Orchestration Business, will be appointed as the new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective December 1, 2026. Shantanu Narayen, the current Chair and Chief Executive Officer, will retire from his CEO position and assume the role of Executive Chair. Additionally, David Wadhwani, President of Creativity & Productivity Business, notified the Company of his decision to step down from his position, effective September 27, 2026, and will remain as a senior advisor during a transition period.
