Copart Announces CEO Transition with A. Jayson Adair

Copart, Inc. announced on June 29, 2026, that Jeffrey Liaw will step down as Chief Executive Officer and resign from the Board, effective July 31, 2026. A. Jayson Adair, the current Executive Chairman, will succeed Liaw as CEO. Liaw will receive a lump sum payment of $450,000, $200,000 during the transition period, and other benefits as part of a Transition and Separation Agreement. Adair, who previously led Copart as CEO, will resume the role effective July 31, 2026. Liaw will also support the transition as a Senior Advisor to Adair.
