Etsy Completes Sale of Depop to eBay for $1.4 Billion
On July 30, 2026, Etsy, Inc. completed the sale of its subsidiary Depop to eBay Inc. for approximately $1.4 billion in cash. The transaction, which was previously announced, includes a purchase price of $1.2 billion plus $200 million of net purchase price adjustments and interest. The net cash proceeds are subject to certain post-closing adjustments. The sale was enabled by the Second Amendment to the 2023 Credit Agreement, which was also entered into on July 30, 2026. Etsy plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including accelerating its share repurchase program.
