Freeport-McMoRan Announces Leadership Transition: Kathleen Quirk to Become CEO

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (NYSE: FCX) announced on February 6, 2024, the leadership transition where Kathleen L. Quirk, the current President, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective June 11, 2024. Richard C. Adkerson, the current CEO, will remain as Chairman of the Board of Directors. The Compensation Committee approved adjustments to the compensation of both executives in connection with the transition. Mr. Adkerson's annual base salary will decrease to $1.2 million, while Ms. Quirk's will increase to $1.4 million. Both will continue to participate in the annual and long-term incentive programs.
