Honeywell Announces Spin-Off of Aerospace Business
Honeywell International Inc. announced that its Board of Directors has approved the spin-off of its Aerospace Technologies business into an independent, publicly traded company called Honeywell Aerospace. The spin-off is expected to be completed on June 29, 2026, with Honeywell Technologies being the remaining pure-play automation company. The distribution of Honeywell Aerospace shares to Honeywell common stockholders will be on a pro rata basis, with one share of Honeywell Aerospace for every two shares of Honeywell common stock held as of the record date. Several board members have resigned in connection with the spin-off, which is part of Honeywell's portfolio transformation strategy.
