Insmed Discontinues Brensocatib in CRSsNP and Acquires INS1148
Summary
On December 17, 2025, Insmed Incorporated announced that the Phase 2b BiRCh study of brensocatib in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis without nasal polyps (CRSsNP) did not meet its primary or secondary efficacy endpoints. Consequently, Insmed has discontinued the development program for brensocatib in CRSsNP. Additionally, Insmed announced the acquisition of INS1148, a monoclonal antibody for potential respiratory and immunological and inflammatory diseases, to advance its development in interstitial lung disease and moderate-to-severe asthma.
