Ionis Pharmaceuticals Announces Positive Results from OASIS-HAE and OASISplus Studies for Donidalorsen in HAE Patients
Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced positive results from the Phase 3 OASIS-HAE and OASISplus studies of its investigational drug donidalorsen for patients with hereditary angioedema (HAE). The studies demonstrated significant reductions in HAE attack rates and improvements in quality of life. Patients experienced a 62% reduction in mean monthly HAE attack rates when switching from prior prophylactic treatments to donidalorsen. Additionally, 84% of patients who switched reported a preference for donidalorsen over their previous treatment. Based on these results, Ionis plans to file a New Drug Application with the FDA this year. Data from the studies will be presented at the EAACI Congress 2024.
