MKS Instruments Announces Corporate Name Change to MKS Inc.
MKS Instruments, Inc. announced that its shareholders have approved a change of the Company's name to MKS Inc., effective May 16, 2025. The change commemorates the company's expanded business scope as a provider of industrial instruments, subsystems, systems, process control solutions, and specialty chemicals technology. In addition, the Board appointed James A. Schreiner as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and David P. Henry as Executive Vice President, Global Strategic Marketing and General Manager, Materials Solutions Division, both effective August 1, 2025. Schreiner will also receive compensation adjustments including salary increase and restricted stock units. Shareholders also approved amendments to the Restated Articles of Organization and Second Amended and Restated By-Laws to lower the voting requirement from a supermajority to a simple majority. The Company issued a press release on May 15, 2025, announcing these changes.
