Newmont CFO Resignation Leads to Interim CFO Appointment
On July 11, 2025, Karyn F. Ovelmen resigned as Chief Financial Officer of Newmont Corporation. Peter Wexler, previously Chief Legal Officer, has been appointed as interim CFO. Ovelmen will receive six months of salary and medical coverage as per the separation agreement, with no other severance benefits. Wexler will continue his role as Chief Legal Officer and may receive additional compensation if determined by the company's compensation committee.
