Palo Alto Networks and IBM Announce Strategic Partnership for AI-Powered Security Solutions
On May 15, 2024, Palo Alto Networks, Inc. and International Business Machines Corporation announced a broad-reaching partnership to deliver AI-powered security outcomes for customers. The partnership includes the acquisition by Palo Alto Networks of IBM's QRadar Software as a Service (SaaS) assets, subject to customary closing conditions. IBM will deliver security consulting services across Palo Alto Networks' security platforms, and will train over 1,000 of its security consultants on migration, adoption, and deployment of Palo Alto Networks products. The companies will also establish a joint Security Operations Center and a joint Cyber Range to enhance customer experiences. The transaction is expected to close by the end of September 2024, pending regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
