Qualcomm Announces Acquisition of Alphawave IP Group
Summary
On June 9, 2025, Qualcomm Incorporated and its subsidiary, Bidco, announced a recommended acquisition of Alphawave IP Group plc. Under the terms of the Acquisition, Alphawave IP Group plc shareholders have the option to receive either cash or Qualcomm shares/exchangeable securities in exchange for their holdings. Qualcomm expects to issue up to 15,575,072 new Qualcomm shares if all eligible shareholders elect the stock-based alternatives, which would represent approximately 1.4% of Qualcomm's outstanding shares as of April 28, 2025.
