On July 5, 2024, Smurfit WestRock plc completed the combination of Smurfit Kappa and WestRock under a scheme of arrangement, forming a unified entity. The combination resulted in the delisting of Smurfit Kappa shares from the FCA and Euronext Dublin, and the listing of Smurfit WestRock shares on the London Stock Exchange and New York Stock Exchange. The former WestRock board was removed, and several directors and officers resigned.
