Trimble to Sell Global Transportation Telematics Business to Platform Science
On September 15, 2024, Trimble Inc. announced its entry into a Master Transaction Agreement with Platform Science, Inc., whereby Trimble will sell its global transportation telematics business units to Platform Science. Trimble will become a shareholder in Platform Science, with a 32.5 percent stake and a seat on the Platform Science board. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2025, subject to regulatory approvals. Trimble's other core transportation business units will remain part of its Transportation & Logistics segment.
