Uber to Acquire Getir's Delivery Business in Turkey
Uber Technologies, Inc. has entered into an agreement to acquire Getir Perakende Lojistik A.Ş.’s delivery portfolio in Turkey for $335 million in cash. The transaction includes acquiring 100% of Getir's food delivery business immediately, with the remaining grocery, retail, and water delivery businesses to be acquired in the next few years, pending certain conditions. Uber will also invest $100 million to acquire a 15% stake in Getir's grocery, retail, and water delivery business. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and other closing conditions, with the food delivery business expected to close in the second half of 2026.
