USA Rare Earth Announces Leadership Transition with New CEO and Executive Chair
USA Rare Earth, Inc. announced that Barbara Humpton will retire as Chief Executive Officer and as a director on October 1, 2026. Thrasyvoulos Moraitis, current CEO of Serra Verde Group, will succeed Humpton as CEO, effective October 1, 2026, or upon the closing of the Serra Verde Merger. Michael Blitzer, current Chairman of the Board, has been appointed as Executive Chair, effective immediately. Humpton's retirement is not due to any disagreement with the company. The company also issued a press release detailing the transition and the new leadership's vision for the company's future.
