NXP Semiconductors Announces Acquisition of TTTech Auto for $625M
NXP Semiconductors N.V. announced on January 7, 2025, that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire TTTech Auto, a leader in software-defined vehicles (SDV) technology, in an all-cash transaction valued at $625 million. This acquisition aims to strengthen NXP's position in the automotive industry by integrating TTTech Auto's expertise in safety-critical systems and middleware for SDVs with NXP's CoreRide platform. Pending regulatory approvals, TTTech Auto's management team, intellectual property, assets, and approximately 1,100 engineering staff will join NXP's automotive team, enabling automakers to reduce complexity and shorten time to market.
